North Devon Scout Target Club - Shooting Club in Barnstable

North Devon Scout Target Club is an Active Support Unit that provides support for North Devon Scouting members who are interested in target activities. The club offers a wide range of activities, including archery, field archery, match and target crossbow, small-bore rifle, full-bore rifle, air rifle and air pistol, laser rifle and laser pistol, and tomahawk throwing.
In addition, North Devon Scout Target Club offers courses for Scout Archery Instructors in line with the TSA adventurous activities permit scheme and the NSRA Youth Proficiency Scheme, in partnership with Devon Scouts. The club has a partnership agreement with Braunton TSC, which allows it to use their facilities. Furthermore, the Archery range and a 10 m Air Range at the Collard Bridge Scout Campsite are available for both local and visiting Scout groups.
North Devon Scout Target Club provides instruction courses for users of the Collard Bridge Scout Campsite and runs Scout Sundays once a month for Scouts from North Devon to develop their skills. The club also offers several target activities, including Archery, Popinjay, Air Rifle, Air Pistol, Laser Rifle, Laser Pistol, and Tomahawk Throwing.
Scouts have been shooting since 1911, when the Duke of Connought donated a trophy to be shot for by Scout teams. North Devon Scouts have been successful in recent years, winning several individual national titles and the 3P shield for the last three years. The 1st North Devon Scout Group won the Junior Connought Shield in 2009.
North Devon Scout Target Club also provides adult opportunities for those who are interested in learning more about running target activities and joining the NDTSASU. The club periodically runs courses in Archery, Air Rifle, Air Pistol, Crossbow, and Tomahawk Throwing.
Individuals or groups interested in target activities can participate in sessions at Scout Sundays or book evening/weekend sessions at Collard Bridge, subject to availability. Laser Rifle and Laser Pistol sessions are available at your own venue, and a clear area of at least 2 m wide and 6 m long is required for effective sessions.
