We are one of the largest gun shops in the South East of England. We buy and sell all the major gun and rifle brands, both new and second hand.

We both grew up hunting game from a young age: Tony Stone on the plains and veld in South Africa and Ryan Emmett on the Wilton Farm Estate, where our shop is based. Aware of the elitist reputation to which country sports can be subject, we opened Emmett & Stone Country Sports in December 2011 and have dedicated ourselves to sourcing quality country goods to suit any budget.
During our lifelong passion for all disciplines of shooting, we have also developed close relationships with expert local gunsmiths, to gain a working knowledge of traditional and modern English and Continental guns, rifles and air rifles. Having spent most our working lives in independent high end retail, we strive to provide a welcoming and truly customer-focused experience to shopping for countryside goods.

Tony & Ryan have built a great business, with attentive, helpful and friendly staff, great selection of products and a great airgun range. The extension to the premises during the Covid ‘lockdown’ has just made it even better!
My sons grandparents gifted him an hour lesson at the gun range here with an instructor for his birthday.
He was very nervous at first and hesistant to go but after going he is so happy with his experience. He has even asked to go again. The instructor was so friendly and patient. He made the experiance enjoyable and the gun safety was reassuring.
I feel I must put finger to keypad in response to Mr Judge’s review,
well i say review but it’s not really is it ? it’s just an ill-mannered rant by someone who didn’t like what they were being told, from what I can read Emmett & Stone haven’t begged Mr Judge to sell them his rifle. he has gone to them and as such has to respect their opinion even though he may not agree with it, because their value and his value are at variance is not a reason to insult members of their staff.
The simple solution at that point is to go and find someone who is willing to give you what you think it’s worth. or alternatively maybe listen to the advice being given by the professional who’s opinion I suspect is based solely on previous experience.
I have shopped with E&S from day one, have maintained a good professional relationship with them and have even shopped elsewhere when it has suited me as is my choice, to my knowledge they haven’t entered into a name calling spat because of it.
I have bought numerous guns and accessories from E&S over the years I’ve even sold a few back to them, sometimes for less than I thought they were worth but never have I found it necessary to be insulting because my expectation was greater than theirs.
The whole point of reviews is to enlighten others as to the qualities, both good and not so good of the SERVICES being offered and should not be used as a platform to personally insult people simply because their professional opinion differs from your own.
So good luck with the sale of your gun Mr Judge , I hope you spend the money wisely, can I suggest some lessons in manners could be a good investment for starters.
I have been in a few times now, very friendly and helpful staff will be back soon for another air rifle wife willing.
