Ashton-under-Lyne Target Sports Club - Shooting Club in Ashton-under-Lyne

Ashton-under-Lyne Target Sports Club, founded in January 2016, is a newly established rifle and pistol shooting club. Originally started to facilitate target shooting in scouts, the club quickly expanded to cover other disciplines, such as Sporter Air rifle, Air Pistol, and 10 metre Bench Rest to cater to the needs of novice and younger shooters, who predominantly come from scouting, cadet or athletic backgrounds.

The club has access to athletic indoor and outdoor track facilities, as well as range facilities, allowing for training on multiple disciplines, including gallery rimfire rifles and sports crossbow. Ashton-under-Lyne Target Sports Club is affiliated with the National Smallbore Rifle Association, the national governing body for the sport, and Tameside Sports Network, which supports clubs in the area.

The club is building from a small base and looks forward to affiliating with other organizations to provide competitive opportunities for its shooters and athletes. Additionally, the club supports the British Shooting Greater Manchester Hub for Target Sprint, running National-level events and regular training sessions.
