Blackburn Rifle & Pistol Club - Shooting Club in Blackburn
Blackburn Rifle & Pistol Club is a well-established shooting club with over a century of history, having been established in 1907. The club’s extensive buildings, which were purchased in 1981, can house up to five ranges, one of which is 50 metres long, as well as an indoor members’ car park. The club’s facilities include a modern lounge, cafe, pool table, and shop where members can purchase a variety of munitions, firearms, and general shooting goods.
With a current membership of around 200, the club is open five nights and two mornings each week. Blackburn RPC caters to a wide range of interests, offering 35 different shooting disciplines, and welcomes new members of all skill levels. The club’s facilities include indoor rifle and pistol ranges of up to 50 metres, with disciplines ranging from air pistol to full bore rifle and turning target shooting. The club also prides itself on offering a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with full disabled facilities available for members to use.

Visited Blackburn rifle and pistol club for the first time on Friday 8th November with my friend Nick.
On arrival we were greeted by a club member called Dave who showed us around the shooting ranges and amenities.
Dave went through the club rules and then put us on the 50m range where we both really enjoyed ourselves. We can’t wait to pay another visit.
I must say that Dave probably spent around 2.5 hours with us and made us feel really welcome.

Run by friendly, helpful volunteers who took time to answer my novice questions and help with techniques for both rifle and pistol shooting on their 10m and 25m ranges. I have since joined the Club and find that the knowledgeable and experienced members are always happy to help.

Nice place to practice my air rifle target,plinking hobby back in 2019.They let me use explosive targets indoors and start the ventilation to let all the smoke out. Don’t know if I could still do that.People were friendly and experienced. They offered me their Ruger rimfire, told me of their Firearm stories and offered advice in the gun shop. Filled up air rifle for me, as I was a new user. It was a good experience, but moving to France now.
