Rivington Riflemen - Shooting Club in Bolton

Rivington Riflemen was established in 1985 and is situated just a short distance away from Bolton town centre. It has now become the most prominent air rifle and air pistol club in the North of England with over 150 members whose ages range from 5 to 80 years old. Their primary goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable shooting environment for everyone. The club is comprised of airgun enthusiasts from various backgrounds, all united in their love of air guns.

Rivington Riflemen has a 40-yard multi-lane indoor range that is housed within their headquarters and clubhouse. The range is fully insured, marshalled, and disabled-friendly. Rested and freestyle lanes are available with a variety of knockdown, spinner, and paper targets. All lanes can be booked in 15-minute intervals. The indoor range is open from 6 pm until 9 pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 10 am to 3 pm on Sundays, providing an ideal opportunity for relaxed plinking or zeroing before the weekend shoot.

Safety is paramount at Rivington Riflemen, so all newcomers are vetted at the indoor range before being invited to their outdoor range. The club takes part in various airgun disciplines, including HFT, FT, 10m pistol (including postal comps for Scottish MPL & C02 matches), 10m rifle bell target, and their 40-yard rifle range for plinking/zeroing.
