Leicester & District Small-bore Rifle & Pistol Club - Shooting Club in Leicester

Welcome to Leicester & District Small-bore Rifle & Pistol Club, a long-standing club founded in July 1937. Located just outside the village of Groby in Leicestershire, the club has a rich history and is now a modern facility with various ranges catering to different shooting disciplines. The club is home to an indoor 10-metre air rifle/pistol range, which was built in 1987 to replace an earlier wooded one that was destroyed by fire in 1984.

Initially, the club mainly catered for .22 rimfire rifle and .22 rimfire pistol, but with the changes in gun laws and the development of more sophisticated and very accurate air guns, the club now also caters for most air gun target shooting disciplines. The club has a new 25-yard indoor range for both live ammunition and air gun target shooting, which was commissioned in 2007.

Lottery funding has financed the building of a new 50-metre rimfire range to complement the existing outdoor 25-yard, 50-yard, and 100-yard ranges. The club welcomes members and visitors of all skill levels and shooting interests.
