Hemswell Shooting Club, established in 1993, is a licensed club that offers a range of shooting disciplines to its members. The club’s 25m range was formerly used by the RAF for practice, but now it is accessible seven days a week to members between 8am to 9pm. For safety reasons, at least two full members must be present before shooting can commence.
Hemswell Shooting Club caters to various shooting disciplines, including Smallbore, Fullbore, .30 calibre rifles, airguns, and black powder. Members can shoot for pleasure or take part in competitions, including black powder days and fullbore days, as well as those run by external organizations such as the NSRA, LSRA, NRA, Phoenix Postal League, and Scunthorpe and District Airgun Club.
The club is proud of its members’ achievements, who have won many trophies across all disciplines in competitions at local and national levels, including county and intercounty shoots. Been an on-off member here for the past 5 years. Moving around a lot so not always possible to come shoot at Hemswell.
Great 25m range, tucked out of the way, great staff, and everyone is always ready to give you help and advice from FAC applications, ammo types, rifle variations, to technique and firearms principles.
Only downside is that it’s only 25m. But you can shoot practically anything 🙂
It may not have lots of ranges but this always feels a really safe place to shoot. All members are friendly, very helpful and knowledgable. I am so please to have moved to this club from North Cotes. This is the best and friendliest club I have been to so far in Lincolnshire.
