Callander Target Sports Club - Shooting Club in Callander/Stirling
Callander Target Sports Club has a rich history dating back to 1909 when Field Marshal Lord Roberts discovered the superior shooting skills of Boers during the Boer war. Today, the club is affiliated with the National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA), Scottish Small Bore Rifle Association (SSRA), and Scottish Pistol Association (SPA). Being a Full Member of a Home Office Approved Club like Callander Target Sports Club is a requirement for obtaining a Firearms Certificate (FAC) for target shooting.
The club boasts two ranges that are accessible to wheelchair users and cater to handicapped shooters. The primary range is a 25-meter multi-function range that is approved for .22 rim fire disciplines, black powder, and .22 air rifle shooting. This range is also suitable for gallery shooting and knife throwing. The second range is a 10-meter air discipline range with electrically operated targets. It is a popular choice for both young beginners and seasoned competitors, with a permissible caliber of .177 for air guns.
