Camberley Rifle & Pistol Club - Shooting Club in Bagshot
Camberley Rifle & Pistol Club is a well-established sports facility located in Camberley with a rich history of sporting achievements since its formation in 1903. Over the years, many club members have made notable achievements, including a member who won the Kings Prize in 1912, 1926, and 1931, and the first lady to win the Kings Prize at Bisley, a feat only equaled over 60 years later in 2000. Other accomplishments include a world service revolver champion, a Grand Aggregate winner at Bisley, and members of various national pistol and rifle teams.
The club boasts two junior men and two junior ladies who are members of the Great Britain Junior Shooting Squad and have participated in overseas tours shooting at an international level. A disabled lady member of the club won four Olympic gold medals for air rifle, while another member won the Great Britain Junior Air Rifle Championship and has defended his title three times to remain the current Great Britain champion. Additionally, two junior ladies came second and third in the Great Britain Air Rifle Championships and are currently members of the Great Britain Junior Shooting Squad.
The club puts forward two teams every year to compete in the Surrey County Leagues, with most members also competing in the Individual League Competitions. The club’s success in these competitions is evident through the numerous gold and silver medals won. Camberley Rifle & Pistol Club has a proud history of sporting achievements and welcomes new members of all levels to join and take part in the various shooting disciplines offered.
