SHOTS (Sussex Home Of Target Shooting) - Shooting Club in Ford
SHOTS (Sussex Home Of Target Shooting) is located on a sprawling 450 acre farm in Clymping, West Sussex. Starting off as a small air rifle range with limited facilities, the range has undergone major development and expansion over the last two decades. Currently, it boasts four ranges with multiple disciplines and has become a haven for target shooters of all levels. In April 2020, SHOTS took over the facility and invested heavily to revamp and modify all the ranges as well as other facilities. One of the main considerations when undertaking the modifications was to achieve accessibility for all.
SHOTS offers an extensive range of facilities that cater to a wide range of interests. These include a shop, 20-yard air gun and archery range, 60-yard air rifle range, 25-yard multi-calibre range with 10, 15, and 20 yard shooting positions, and a 100-yard multi-calibre range with a 50-yard length. The facility also has toilets, a café, airsoft kill rooms, an airsoft woodland area, airsoft attack sense, HFT area, and a clay pigeon area. All the facilities have been designed to be accessible for disabled individuals, with wheelchair access available throughout.

Was told about SHOTS by a fellow biker who frequents the Ceasefire Cafe on site. After a call with the very helpful Bobby to see if it was suitable for my 11yr Old, we booked in and came over. George sorted us out and took our food order (incl. in Experience Price), then the wonderful Mike and Dave took us to the Air Rifle indoor range. With an hour of instruction, practise and helpful hints, we then had a drink and snack break before heading back in for our competition. So much fun, learning and enjoyment with a friendly group of people. Everything is well run, food, drink and service all excellent. Great experience if you’re looking for something new to try (and get hooked on!)
I have been a member of this range for about a year and a half and decided to write a review. In my honest opinion this is the best rifle range in Sussex, the staff are all very helpful with any query, the ranges are all set up well, i haven’t met another member who is not kind and perfectly respectful and the cease fire cafe on site is divine.
All in all, a brilliant range and definitely worth going to, either for a one off or as a regular activity.
We took our 3 kids (12,11 and 8) today to SHOTS. Wow! Was a fabulous experience for everyone. We were there for over 2 hours, the guys there were amazing, their knowledge, patience and understanding was brilliant.
There is a cafe onsite that sells everything from a full fry up to jacket potatoes with plenty of seating both in the shade and out.

Well worth a visit
This morning we did the air rifle experience. My mum and step-dad had done this experience before, so they insisted for my boyfriend and I to go with them. I had never shot a gun or handled a gun before, so was instantly put at ease. Everyone that worked there was super relaxed and friendly. The instructor/owner was very professional, and went through everything clearly before we started. His knowledge on the equipment and how to do everything was amazing! We were there for around 2 and a half hours. We had an hour practising and getting used to shooting at the targets, before we took a break for some yummy paninis at their cafe on site! (He also has 2 doggies that are too cute!) We then came back for the rest of the time to do the competition on the second half! My experience was not dissapointing and I really enjoyed it! Will definitely be back to do clay pigeon shooting!
Four of us (adults) had a 2hr shooting experience yesterday and still feeling the buzz. Wonderful facility with a great on site cafe. We enjoyed chatting to some fellow bikers before our shoot. Snack lunch was included. Quick sign in and a safety talk before our first hour of practice. Short break for lovely lunch before next hour of competition time. A most enjoyable experience. Dave was chief instructor ably assisted by Mike and Adrian. All were very friendly, professional and excellent instructors. We can highly recommend this to all ages wanting to have a go at shooting an air rifle at a safe and well run club.
