Lindfield Miniature Rifle Club - Shooting Club in Lindfield

Lindfield Miniature Rifle Club (LMRC) is a friendly and safe shooting club with a range that was rebuilt in 2010. Originally built in 1918, the range has been certified by the Home Office and inspected by the NSRA. The club offers shooting disciplines such as .22 calibre RF (rim fire) Prone target rifle and Light-Weight Sporting Rifle (LSR), Air Rifle, and Air Pistol.

LMRC members are encouraged to have fun while shooting in a safe environment, and the club enters teams in both internal and external competitions. However, members are welcome to shoot purely for enjoyment if they prefer. Moreover, the club has a small collection of club-owned firearms that are in good working condition and can be used by members and visitors who don’t have their own firearms.

Members can buy live ammunition at reasonable prices from the club, but it cannot be removed from the premises unless you have the appropriate Firearms Certificate (FAC) issued by the police. Most of the club’s disciplines can be shot at least once a week. The usual club targets are concentric rings printed on heavy paper, though the club committee may occasionally use other targets at their discretion.

Joining the LMRC is open to all, and owning a firearm is not a requirement. The club’s range is an indoor, 25-yard range that is open year-round. If you’re interested in shooting, LMRC provides a great opportunity to learn new skills, participate in competitions, and meet like-minded individuals who share a common interest.
