Spennymoor & District Clay Shooting Club is a prestigious CPSA Registered Ground nestled in the picturesque rolling hills near Fishburn, conveniently located just off the A1 at J61. The club is renowned for its regular registered shoots, practice shooting opportunities on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, as well as hosting Selection Shoots and County Championships.
With a variety of shooting disciplines available, including English Sporting, Down The Line, English Skeet, Automatic Ball Trap, and Double Rise, Spennymoor & District CPC caters to shooters of all levels and interests. The club boasts 4 undercover DTL/ABT layouts, all equipped with voice release traps, and a full-time Skeet layout. Sundays at the club typically feature 100 Sporting practice, along with regular registered events in other disciplines.
Ample car parking space for over 100 vehicles is available on the club’s farmland location. The clubhouse offers catering facilities, ranging from tea and coffee to full breakfast options, providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for members and visitors alike. 12g cartridges are available for certificate holders, and the club’s Sporting layout spans across open farmland, featuring a towering 120-foot High Tower. Additionally, floodlit shooting is available until 8:30pm every Wednesday throughout the year, providing extended shooting opportunities.

Excellent facilities, friendly welcome, good variety of stands.
First visit and saw a car park full of cars so wrongly assumed there would be huge queues. There are so many stands to shoot on sporting there was little or no waiting at all. Everyone was helpful and friendly. When we introduced ourselves as first timers we were given a well informed briefing with details of setup and site rules.
Good fun and safe to do.
