BT Shawlands Clay Pigeon Shooting Club extends a warm welcome to all shooting enthusiasts. Nestled in the scenic village of Lingfield in Surrey, this small but vibrant club offers a safe and friendly environment for both beginners and experienced shooters to indulge in the thrilling sport of clay pigeon shooting.
With a dedicated coach on hand to provide guidance on gun safety and shooting techniques, beginners can learn the ropes at no additional cost. The club boasts a charming clubhouse set in picturesque grounds, complete with catering facilities, club guns, and a diverse range of challenging targets to test the skills of even the most seasoned shooter. The club operates two types of shoots: the league shoot and the farmers shoot.
The league shoot takes place on the second Saturday of every month and involves shooting 50 birds. Scores are tallied throughout the year, contributing to the league results, and trophies are awarded to the champions at the end of the year. While the league shoot is exclusive to club members, guests of members are also welcome to participate, though their scores will not be counted in the league.
The farmers shoot, held on the last Saturday of every month (except August and December), offers a friendly and informal atmosphere. With 80 birds to shoot, it’s a great opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow shooters. For newcomers, it’s advisable to contact a committee member in advance or inquire at the signing-in hut.
Both shoots commence at 10:30am, and the last rounds must start by 12pm. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or new to the sport, BT Shawlands Clay Pigeon Shooting Club provides a welcoming and inclusive environment for a thrilling shooting experience in the beautiful Surrey countryside.
