Test Valley C P C - Shooting Club in Popham

Test Valley CPC is a welcoming and friendly club located in North Hampshire that opens every second Sunday. For the last 30 years, the club has been run by David and Sue Blackman, the proprietors of Test Valley Guns in Overton Hampshire. They welcome both members and visitors, as well as spectators and children under parental supervision. The club is also a great place to bring a young dog to get them used to guns; however, all dogs must be kept on leads.
The layout at Test Valley CPC changes every shoot, designed by David and Andy to provide a fair and interesting challenge. The club allows the use of any type of gun as long as it’s a smooth bore shotgun, including modern or antique of any caliber or type. Visitors need not worry if they forget their cartridges since they are available for purchase on site. The club also provides refreshments in a comfortable canteen area run by Ali and Zoe, who serve delicious bacon rolls and tea while chatting about missed opportunities in front of a lovely log burner in winter.
Test Valley CPC has a small training stand priced at 20p per bird, and the layout is set in a woodland, providing a unique challenge compared to the standard clay grounds. The club’s rabbit has even been described as a hare, and the stands are continually being changed to offer new and exciting layouts, with feedback from members and visitors taken into account. While the club aims to provide a fair challenge, they are passionate about testing guns and always strive to offer a new and unique experience.
David, being a gunsmith, is always on hand to provide advice and support to visitors. Test Valley CPC is a club that the team on site takes pride in, and they hope that visitors will come and experience it for themselves, and enjoy their time there.
