Bon Accord Small-bore Rifle Club, also known as Bon Accord SBRC, is a premier destination for small bore target shooting in Aberdeen. Established around 1912, the club’s mission is to provide a safe and inclusive environment for members to practice, train, and compete at their own level.

The club offers a wide range of disciplines, including air rifle, air pistol, .22 prone, and 3 positional, catering to the diverse interests and aspirations of its members. Participants have the opportunity to compete in regional leagues, open shoulder-to-shoulder competitions, and even at the national and international level, with several club members currently representing Scotland and Great Britain.

The club’s membership is inclusive and diverse, with participants ranging from junior secondary school pupils to experienced international shooters. Prone rifle is the most popular discipline within the club, but members also participate in 3 positional events and air rifle and air pistol. The club also accommodates for various disabilities, and has an active group of visually impaired members who compete at an international level.

The Bon Accord SBRC has access to the state-of-the-art facilities at the Denwood Target Shooting Centre, which was opened in 1992. The facilities include a 25-yard indoor range with 8 firing points that can be used for .22 rifle in prone, standing, and kneeling positions, as well as 10m target changers for air rifle and air pistol. The club also has access to an outdoor 100-yard range with 20 firing points, and a dedicated 50-yard range with an additional 20 firing points. The ranges are suitable for a variety of disciplines, including prone, standing, and kneeling positions, as well as 3 positional shooting.
