Portlethen SBRC - Shooting Club in Aberdeen

Portlethen Small-Bore Rifle Club is a welcoming and inclusive community of target shooters. The club currently has a membership of around fifteen and has the capacity for both newcomers and experienced shooters. The club offers an eight point 25 yard indoor range and club rifles and equipment are made available for the use of members at no additional charge. The club specializes in .22 rifle, prone position only, and is not currently able to accommodate standing or kneeling positions, nor air weapon shooting. The club celebrated its Centenary in 2010 and is keen to expand and continue its traditions.

When the club is reopen, it will be for full members for competitive shooting on Monday evenings only from 7:30 pm. Tuesday evenings are reserved for newcomers and coaching as requested, again from 7:30 pm. The minimum age for membership is 18, however, juniors are welcome when accompanied by an appropriate adult. Beginners and experienced shots alike are welcome, and if you have a genuine interest in small-bore target shooting, you are encouraged to turn up at the club premises any Monday evening between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm.

The club is located at 254 Holburn Street, Aberdeen AB10 6DD, Scotland, UK, and can be found by walking down Holburn Street on the right hand side to the junction with Nellfield Place, continuing past the junction, then turning right at the path between Nos 252 and 254. The entrance to the club range is located between the first two blocks of houses past the junction. The club is located on the left hand side and there is a nameplate on the door to confirm you have arrived at the right destination. The car park adjacent to the club is private and not available for use by members or visitors.
