Marple Rifle and Pistol Club - Shooting Club in Stockport

Marple Rifle and Pistol Club is a comprehensive shooting facility that offers a range of services to accommodate various types of target guns. The indoor shooting range measures 25 meters and boasts 10 firing points, 6 of which are designated for fullbore carbine, fullbore pistol, and Black Powder shooting in a standing position. 8 of the 10 firing points can be used for .22 rimfire rifles and carbines, which can be shot from a standing or kneeling position, and all 10 firing points are suitable for prone .22 rimfire rifle shooting.

Additionally, the indoor range is equipped to handle sub-12ft/lb air rifles and 6ft/lb air pistols shot from any position. The club first opened its doors as a .22 rimfire only range, but has since upgraded to centrefire (fullbore) in 1990 and added unlimited calibre Black Powder shooting in 2004.

For outdoor shooting, Marple Rifle and Pistol Club features an airgun range with 6 positions for non-FAC airguns, accommodating both rifles and pistols. This range is designed for Field Target shooting and can be shot from any position, with a maximum distance of 40 meters. The club also offers indoor shooting at various distances, including 10, 15, 20 meters and 20 and 25 yards. A state-of-the-art electrically operated turning target system is available, allowing for participation in timed fire events at any of these distances.
