Chiltern Rifle Club - Shooting Club in Watlington
Chiltern Rifle Club is a friendly and welcoming shooting club located in Watlington, Oxfordshire, OX49 5PU, near Buckinghamshire and conveniently close to the M40 Junction 6. The club boasts a clubhouse with heated indoor ranges measuring 20 yards, 6 yards, and 10 metres, all approved by the Home Office for prone, kneeling, and standing shooting positions.
Chiltern Rifle Club offers a range of shooting disciplines including Air Rifle and Pistol, Small Bore Target Rifle, Light Weight Sport Rifle (LWSR) / Gallery Rifle, and Full Bore Rifle at Bisley and Otmoor. Members can participate in internal club competitions and fun shoots, Oxford county league competitions, civil service competitions, junior competitions, and shooting sessions for local scout and guide groups or other youth clubs. The club also provides marksmanship skill training for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme at gold, silver, and bronze levels.
Chiltern Rifle Club has a variety of rifles and air weapons available for members to use, along with all other necessary equipment. Club equipment can be used free of charge, however, ammunition must be purchased by members, with prices starting from £4.25 for 50 rounds. The club’s experienced shooters and NSRA accredited instructors provide free training and coaching to members.

A brilliant time was had by all. Took my son and I for a bit of blast. The safety briefing wasn’t as arduous as it could have been – was quite informative mixed with common sense and a few funnies. The aids / helpers were warm and welcoming and more than put the nervous among us at their ease. Everyone got a chance to flex their trigger finger and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I’d be up for becoming members, but sadly, the availability doesn’t fit with A level homework schedules.
