The Huntly Small Bore Rifle Club is a target shooting club located in Huntly, Aberdeenshire. The club is dedicated to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all ages, sizes, abilities, and aspirations to participate in the sport of target shooting. The club is active year-round, shooting indoors during the winter and outdoors during the spring and summer.

The club is currently accepting new member applications and welcomes anyone who is interested in joining to reach out through the contact form on the club’s website or on Facebook. The club utilizes an online booking system for its five firing points, giving priority to those who have booked. The club also encourages members to try shooting outdoors at 50m and 100yds during the summer season.

The club boasts a diverse range of members, from early teenagers to the recently retired Chairman Jack Henderson in his early nineties. All members are police-checked to ensure they are responsible and safe. The club also accommodates for members with disabilities, offering seated shooting using a Bench Rest rifle and Blind Shooting using sound to aim at the target. The club is committed to making its facilities as inclusive as possible.

Competition is at the heart of the club, with various league competitions and full international events. The club has produced Scottish Internationals at all levels up to Commonwealth Games, including the current Chairperson Sheena Sharp, a multiple Commonwealth Games Medallist with two Gold Medals and a Silver from the Melbourne and Manchester Games. Lenny Thomson reached the Finals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Brisbane and will represent Scotland at the Pershing Cup in the USA in 2022. The club also benefits from the regular squad coaching sessions by Tier 2* athlete Brogan Smith, who shares his insights from training and experience with other members.
