Set in the picturesque English countryside, the shooting ground is laid out on the banks of a meandering brook. The all-weather stands have been designed to provide a challenging shooting experience to experienced shooters, while also encouraging beginners to take up the sport.
The company’s founders, Doug and Shirley Florent, have been in the gun trade for nearly 50 years, and the instructors have over 145 years of experience between them. With their patient and constructive tuition, the team is dedicated to improving the form of shooters at every level.
The company offers regular open shoots, renowned day courses, and have-a-go days that are welcoming to all levels of shooters, from beginners to game shooters looking to improve their skills out of season. Oxford Gun Company also has close links with local game shoots for those wanting to take the next step in their shooting journey.

Bought a shotgun at the Game Fair. David spent time with us going through everything. When we got home we thought we had a problem with the gun. Took it to his shop. David was so helpful, showing us what we were doing wrong without making us feel stupid. He made us feel like valued customers. We can’t wait for our shooting lessons with him. Excellent customer service!
We met Toby at the game fair. He was very knowledgeable in helping my girlfriend getting a gun, we ended up going to the shooting ground to have a proper gun fit which was great, the instructor was extremely knowledgeable, Doug and Toby in the shop were very helpful in trying to pick out some guns before we went out shooting, overall a great experience, being total novices we were never made to feel stupid and were extremely good

Don’t just go to your gun shop! Go to a local shooting school! Words that ring so true now i have met David, plus Dad, plus team! I cannot put into words! (a first for me) how valuable it is to do exactly that! Been today and bought my forever gun (yer right) but a free lesson included and a trial with David will go down in my all time memories! A family run and owned business, coining a phrase the heritage shows! If you haven’t been to TOGC, met David or Dad for that matter then i really and truly advise that you do! A memorable day for me!
