Springfield Air Rifle Club - Shooting Club in Ongar
Springfield Air Rifle Club, affiliated with SEFTA (South Eastern Field Target Association), is a prominent airgun shooting club located near Ongar in Essex, just a 10-minute drive from the M11. The club is dedicated to catering to a wide range of shooting enthusiasts, including FT (Field Target), HFT (Hunter Field Target), and general airgun shooters.
Operating 365 days a year, with a few exceptions for maintenance and competition days, Springfield ARC offers a welcoming environment for shooters of all ages and skill levels. Their primary mission is to promote safe airgun usage while fostering a sense of camaraderie among members. The club features an expansive covered plinking and zeroing range, accommodating targets set at distances ranging from 8 to 55 yards.
In addition to the plinking range, Springfield ARC boasts a comprehensive 40-target FT course and a 30-target HFT course, providing ample opportunities for both members and guests to practice and hone their skills. The club prides itself on its diverse membership, ranging from novices to ex-world champions, ensuring that every individual, regardless of their abilities, receives a warm and friendly welcome.
As a part of SEFTA, Springfield ARC actively participates in the Winter league and organizes a variety of FT competitions throughout the year. Furthermore, on the second Saturday of each month, the club hosts an exciting HFT competition adhering to UKAHFT rules.
