Stanlow Rifle Club - Shooting Club in Ellesmere Port
Stanlow Rifle Club is a well-established shooting organization founded in 1947 by a group of passionate shooting enthusiasts. Over the years, the club has transformed into a specialized small-bore prone target shooting club and has been located at Whitby Sports and Social Club for the past 60 years.
As a registered and ratified club by the Home Office Registration, Stanlow Rifle Club participates in a variety of Wirral, Cheshire County, and NSRA League competitions throughout the year. New members are able to use either their own .22LR rifle or a club rifle for training purposes.
The range at Stanlow Rifle Club features a maintenance area, waiting/social area, and four individual prone position firing points. One of these lanes can also be converted into a seated/bench rest firing point.
Not only does the club take pride in its competition heritage, but it also welcomes shooters of all levels, including experienced, novice, junior, and social members. The club is actively exploring ways to accommodate disabled and movement-limited shooters and will update their website as developments arise.
