With distances ranging from 100 to 600 yards at Ponteland’s “A” and “B” ranges, and up to 1,100 yards at Otterburn training area, Tyne Valley Rifle Club offers a diverse and challenging shooting experience for its members.

The Ponteland Rifle Ranges, just a short drive from Newcastle, offer a traditional rifle range setting with manually operated target raising machinery at the butts. The firing points at both “A” and “B” ranges are at 100 yard increments, with “A” range spanning from 100 to 300 yards and “B” range extending from 100 to 600 yards. The targets are safeguarded by large earth mounds, known as mantlets, ensuring the safety of target marking personnel and shooters alike.
