Wakefield Rifle & Pistol Club - Shooting Club in Wakefield
Wakefield Rifle & Pistol Club is an independent shooting club that offers both air pistol/rifle and live pistol/rifle range facilities. The club is known for its friendly atmosphere, where new members are always welcome, especially beginners with little or no prior experience. Established in 1977, the club’s main goal is to promote sportsmanship, competition and training in pistol and rifle marksmanship.
The club offers two firearms ranges, one at 25 yards and the other at 20 yards, suitable for competition shooting. In addition, there are two air ranges with seven shooting lanes and retrievable targets. The club also has access to the Ministry of Defence ranges, allowing for long-distance shooting up to 600+ yards. The club is Home Office approved, providing a safe environment for shooters of all ages and abilities.
Wakefield Rifle & Pistol Club is affiliated with the National Rifle Association, the National Small Bore Rifle Association, and the Muzzle Loaders Association of Great Britain. This affiliation allows the club to regularly compete locally, nationally, and internationally.

Friendly shooting club with good indoor facilities. Dedicated 10m air pistol range, 20m rifle range and 25m precision rifle range. Black powder, air and pistol calibre firearms can be shot indoors. Excellent facilities here. The members you meet are generally quite knowledgeable and always friendly. Some new upgrade work is currently being undertaken to improve some of the ranges, of which there are four.

It’s a great club and a very friendly community with really good indoor facilities, activities and more. I highly recommend this shooting club.
