West London Shooting Ground - Shooting Club in Northolt

West London Shooting Ground, established in 1901 by Richmond Watson, has a rich history of promoting the sport of shooting. Recognizing a need to improve accuracy, style, and gun-fit during the Edwardian era, Watson founded the shooting school, which has since become a premier destination for shooting enthusiasts. The shooting ground has been voted “Best Shooting Ground in the Country” twice, and provides tailored tuition to help shooters develop their own unique style. The teaching approach draws on the expert tuition of the renowned Percy Stanbury, while incorporating the latest sports instruction techniques to suit all levels of ability and interests in game or clays.

While the basic layout of the shooting grounds has remained the same since the 1930s, numerous improvements have been made over the years. These include increasing safe capacity using bunding, accommodating popular corporate layouts, and steadily growing the number of traps to over 100 to cover all types of sporting targets. The shooting ground offers FITASC and sporting courses, which typically involve shooting over 100 clays with a guide.
