The business is now run by Artie’s Son Derrick & Grandson Simon Monteith, who can provide practical experience in relation to country sports, involving game shooting, vermin control, competitive clay target shooting and target shooting.

We have been coming over from England for yearly visits for ten years now. It could not be a better setup with more friendly people. Simon, Derick and Karren are absolutely fantastic. Five Star customer service and local business. A better place for this sort of thing there is not.

Was at urbalshinny gun shop today for a second shooting lesson for my son who had a voucher from Christmas for two lessons as wee came in Simon approached us from the counter in a very cocky rude manner.He said was the second lesson on the voucher being used by me as I took some shots the last lesson as he was 25 mins late and when he arrived asked me did I want a few shots but I made it clear too him before leaving that I had another lesson he said no problem.I offered too pay for the shots twice while purchasing stuff at the counter today I was extremely annoyed as I received no lesson just 10 shot as I had brought my gun for my son too use.It was Simon himself who asked me did I want a shot.Then before lesson began he said he had no problem with me shooting I had no gun with me but said I was annoyed at what he said if there was a problem at the first lesson he should have said and I would have paid for the 10 clays.He then was very unmannerly towards me in front off my son after driving for an hour he asked me did I want my money back and I said I did after leaving I tried too ring his dad too explain how wee we’re treated he answered the phone and then hung up as I was trying too get my point across.manners is easily carried treating people like this is totally out off order he also showed no CPSA card for a instructor will never be back and will not be recommending this place too anyone.But simon’s dad who I bought the vouchers from was a gentleman what a pity he was not very disappointed.
